Pilates
Small group sessions of Pilates. Matwork, Fascial Movement, and small equipment such as fitballs, mini stability balls, bands, foam rollers, sliding disks, fitness circles, and stability cushions are used. From beginner to advanced. Learn how to activate the proper neural patterns to the musculature so that your body can adapt to better posture. We create structural and muscular imbalances through everything we do, from exercise and sports to sitting at a desk for a long period of time. Muscular imbalance and structural irregularities don’t fix themselves. That’s what Pilates is for!
*Pre and Post natal and injury rehabilitation modifications can be provided.
Teen Pilates/Yoga
Does your teen athlete stretch? Wait! I already know the answer! Enroll your teen 14-17 in a fusion of Yoga and Pilates. Teens will learn to focus their mind through breath practice and body awareness. They will learn the proper ways of activating the musculoskeletal system to counter any poor postural issues that have been created though sports, sitting at a desk or computer at school, or looking at their phone. Your teen will have an advantage of knowing how to activate muscles efficiently so tightness and stuck patterns in the body can be avoided and decreased as they grow and get older. They will learn just how much the mind and body are connected. The most common thing said by parents is “I wish I had this when I was younger!” Give your teen the gift of confidence and breathwork to carry forward in any situation: sports, tests, social gatherings, etc.
Reformer Pilates
Either as a private or semi-private session, learn how to use the reformer for the ultimate in Pilates exercises! The reformer builds on the core strength to work on upper body and lower body strength and stretching. This incredible machine provides a low impact workout that enables amazing results for the body.
You can also work on cardiovascular fitness or athletic conditioning on the reformer with a rebounder attachment and other athletic conditioning exercises!
Sunrise Energizing Yoga
Warm up and wake up the muscles in this energizing Yoga practice. Learn breathing techniques and proper alignment for Yoga postures to be effective to develop strength and length throughout the body. A combination of standing, balancing and mat exercises will leave feeling a sense of calm in the body and mind ready to start your day.
Wind-down Yoga
Finish your Sunday off with a gentle Yin Yoga practice.
This practice is intended to target the deep connective tissues through passive movements.
A focus on breathing and relaxation techniques will take you through the week ahead.
Yoga 101
Have you been doing Yoga classes and wondered if you have been doing the postures with optimal alignment or really finding your limits to push yourself? During a private, semi-private, or small group session you can choose postures you feel you could improve and get feedback and cues that will aid in the optimal benefits for your body.
HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training
Use a variety of equipment in energetic spurts circuit style. These workouts maximize calorie burn and improve cardiovascular fitness rapidly by pushing your heart rate as well as getting the musculoskeletal benefits of strength training.
Run Coaching
Have you wanted to learn how to run, run a first race, or train for a marathon? Trust a UESCA Run Coach to create a running plan that is custom and easy to follow. Having run multiple marathons and cross trained throughout, experience and expertise will guide you to your goals.
